Artist Statement

I'm Vanessa, an artist, designer, and observer of the natural world.

Much of my work begins with a simple act of attention. A pattern in a leaf, the movement of a branch, the relationship between forms, or a detail that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Through gesture, intuition, and exploration, these observations gradually evolve into drawings, designs, and visual compositions that balance structure with discovery.

Nature remains a constant source of inspiration, not as an object of devotion, but as a reflection of the beauty, wisdom, and creativity of its Creator. As a Christian, I believe God is the author of beauty and order. The natural world continually reminds me of His generosity, imagination, and care.

Through each piece, I hope to encourage a renewed appreciation for the wonder that surrounds us, and for the One from whom it ultimately comes.
